What does 16 + 7 + 10 + 32 + 9 + 8 =
A LOT of pounds of fruit! We made multiple trips to farms and picked fruit starting with 16 lbs of strawberries, then 7 lbs of red raspberries, then 10 lbs of peaches, then 32 lbs of tart and Bing cherries, then back again for 9 lbs of red raspberries and black raspberries, and finally 8 lbs of blueberries, purple raspberries and gold raspberries. We've eaten a bunch, frozen some for later and pawned a bunch off to our family. All of the fruit has been delicious and made more so because we picked them ourselves. We like staying near downtown Wausau with so much to do. US Open Canoe Nationals at Whitewater Park downtown. Chalkfest - artists get a square of sidewalk to draw a picture using colored chalk. The Wausau Woodchucks Baseball games (a summer college league). We went with our son Conor and grandson Isaac. Brats were a must have during the game! The annual Tomahawk WI July 4th parade and fireman water fight and crowd cool down at the conclusion of the parade. A fun time
